Mr. Brian Keogh

Biography Brian Keogh was born in Chelmsford, England. On completion of a Tech Eng diploma in Telecommunications and Electronics, DIT (Dublin Institute of Technology) Kevin Street, he was appointed by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in 1982 where he worked in its transmitter group as a direct entry engineer. He was a awarded a B.E Honours degree by the Engineering Council London in 1991 and worked as an engineer for companies including Mostek, Landis & Gyr / LAKE Communications and KLAS Telecom in the 1990's. In 1999 he joined the Institute of Technology, Tallaght as a Lecturer in the department of electronic engineering. In 2004 he was awarded a MSc in Computing by HETAC. He has been involved in a number of Enterprise Ireland Innovation Partnerships based in the IT Tallaght, Synergy Centre. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the RF & Microwave Research Group at UCD.


Research Interests His research interests are in the area of Wireless/RF design with particular emphasis on optimisation of circuit blocks in the radio "front-end". This includes low noise amplifiers, matching and cancellation circuits for use in future radio architectures.
